Missions: We serve MISSIOANLLY throughout the year in many areas. We can do so in our, neighborhoods, communities, our city, our state, and beyond. GO and tell (Matthew 28), tell everyone about Jesus Christ our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer! It starts at home and extends throughout the world to reach the lost! We are all partakers in The “Great Commission” as born-again Christians!

Ministry Opportunities: looking forward to all of august, it is shaping up to have many ministry opportunities! be praying about our mimistries and missions! we have many ministries in need, and of leaders and volunteers, including Children and Youth, Senior citizens, welcome center, lawn mowing, ushers, women’s fellowship, men’s fellowship, and more. In serving, we help in many ways. In doing so, it helps us. It helps us grow personally and spiritually as the Holy Spirit teaches and guides us.

Dear friends,

join us in worship this week as we grow in our walks as children of God! we continue a fascinating journey through a fascinating psalm, psalm 119. martin luther describes it as the "word of god psalm". the psalmist pours out his very soul for us as he prays to and petitions god for help. we see him use eight different forms of the word in describing god's word, including statutes, testimonies, precepts, promises, law, commandments, judgements AND word. it encourages us to follow along closely as we study this great psalm.

this week we continue our travel through psalm 119, stanza #3, the hebrew letter gimmel. It is very interesting studying the hebrew. we find the letter gimmel to be used in their langauage as the value of 3, numerically, and as a bridge in word usage. it can be used to serve as a bridge between the poor and the fortunate and as a bridge between us and god.

We study in real-time, this psalm, that pours out of a hebrew servant of god that shares with us many ways to apply god's word in a practical way. we pray wholeheartedly to be led and holy spirit filled, to understand and share god's holy word that is revealed to us in this psalm!

The applications for this week from the message is to understand how to obey god's word, how to remain faithful in a world that is not our home, and how god helps us when people oppose us today as christians. the applications are revealed to us as we travel through the message! come and join us on this journey. we can see the beauty in god's word through the psalmist's lens, and it leads to want more, as we too yearn for god's word!

DEVOTION: LIKE A VAPOR!

WELL, IT’S JULY 2026 AND I WAS THINKING BACK TODAY TO 1976, 50 YEARS AGO. WOW! IT JUST DOES NOT SEEM POSSIBLE THAT IT HAS BEEN 50 YEARS SINCE I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AT AGE 17. WE WERE ALSO CELEBRATING AMERICA’S 200TH BIRTHDAY THAT YEAR. IT WAS ALSO THE YEAR THAT I MADE MY PUBLIC PROFESSION OF FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST AS MY PERSONAL SAVIOR. NOW WE JUST CELEBRATED THE 250TH BIRTHDAY OF AMERICA THIS PAST WEEKEND AND I’M 67. WHEN THE BIBLE SAYS LIFE IS A VAPOR, THE WRITER SURE WAS NOT KIDDING ABOUT THAT. WHERE HAS LIFE GONE? IT NOW SEEMS LIKE A BLUR AT TIMES. IT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL UNTIL I GRADUATED, THEN POOF LIFE HAPPENED AND EVERYTHING THAT GOES WITH IT. COMPARED TO THE SPAN OF TIME THAT HAS PASSED SINCE GOD CREATED MANKIND IT SEEMS INSIGNIFICANT LIKE A GRAIN OF SAND IN A 5-GALLON BUCKET OF SAND. IT REALLY IS INSIGNIFICANT TO GOD AS 1000 YEARS TO HIM IS LIKE A DAY TO US. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE NO BEGINNING AND NO END. OUR BRAINS THOUGH GREAT AS THEY ARE CANNOT COMPREHEND SUCH A THING. TO US 100 YEARS OF LIFE IS A LONG TIME FOR A HUMAN TO LIVE, AND MOST DO NOT LIVE THAT LONG. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE TO LIFE, WE JUST LIVE DAY TO DAY UNTIL GOD SAYS THAT’S IT. THIS REALLY MAKES IT A NECESSITY TO BE READY TO MEET GOD AT EVERY MOMENT, BECAUSE WE CANNOT PREDICT WHEN OUR TIME IS UP ON THIS EARTH. IF WE LEAVE THIS WORLD WITHOUT MAKING THE DECISION TO FOLLOW JESUS BEFOREHAND IT WILL BE FOREVER TOO LATE. GOD’S PLAN OF REDEMPTION IS FOUND IN HIS SON JESUS THAT CAME TO OUR EARTH, BORN OF A VIRGIN GIRL, LIVED A SINLESS LIFE, WAS CRUCIFIED SHED HIS BLOOD AS A FINAL SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS TAKING OUR PLACE AND PUNISHMENT AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE TOMB TO LIFE BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WAS SEEN BY MANY, AND THEN RETURNED TO GOD THE FATHER TO HEAVEN AND SITS AT GOD’S RIGHT HAND MAKING INTERSESSION FOR US. ALL WE MUST DO IS REALIZE WE ARE SINNERS, BECAUSE WE ALL ARE, AND FALL SHORT OF GOD’S HOLINESS AND GLORY, BELIEVE IN JESUS, AND INVITE HIM INTO OUR LIVES. CONFESS HIM BEFORE MEN AND WE WILL BE SAVED TO A WONDERFUL LIFE HERE ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN IN THE HEREAFTER WITH GOD. THE ALTERNATIVE IS ETERNAL LIFE IN A DEVIL’S HELL WITH UNBELIEVERS SEPARATED FROM A LOVING GOD AND

LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS, FOREVER AND EVER IN TORMENT. I MENTIONED EARLIER ABOUT LIFE BEING A VAPOR. I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE YOU TO THE BIBLE FOR A FEW SCRIPTURES THAT SHOULD CAUSE YOU TO EXAMINE YOURSELF TODAY AND IF GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOUR HEART MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR LIVING FOR HIM. (JAMES 4:13-17 IN GOD’S HOLY WORD SAYS THIS: COME NOW, YOU WHO SAY, “TODAY OR TOMORROW WE WILL GO TO SUCH AND SUCH A CITY, SPEND A YEAR THERE, BUY AND SELL, AND MAKE A PROFIT”; WHEREAS YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW. FOR WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? IT IS EVEN A VAPOR THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE TIME AND THEN VANISHES AWAY. INSTEAD, YOU OUGHT TO SAY, “IF THE LORD WILLS, WE SHALL LIVE AND DO THIS OR THAT.” BUT NOW YOU BOAST IN YOUR ARROGANCE. ALL SUCH BOASTING IS EVIL. THEREFORE, TO HIM WHO KNOWS TO DO GOOD AND DOES NOT DO IT, TO HIM IT IS SIN.) (ROMANS 3:21-24 BUT NOW THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD APART FROM THE LAW IS REVEALED, BEING WITNESSED BY THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS, EVEN THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, TO ALL AND ON ALL WHO BELIEVE. FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE; FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS,) (ISAIAH 64:6 6 BUT WE ARE ALL LIKE AN UNCLEAN THING, AND ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS LIKE FILTHY RAGS; WE ALL FADE AS A LEAF, AND OUR INIQUITIES, LIKE THE WIND, HAVE TAKEN US AWAY. AND THERE IS NO ONE WHO CALLS ON YOUR NAME, WHO STIRS HIMSELF UP TO TAKE HOLD OF YOU; FOR YOU HAVE HIDDEN YOUR FACE FROM US, AND HAVE CONSUMED US BECAUSE OF OUR INIQUITIES.) THE ANSWER TO CLEANSING OURSELVES AND OUR SOULS FROM ALL OUR SIN AND UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS CULMINATED IN THESE VERSES FROM (JOHN 3:14-17: THE ONLY WAY TO GOD OUR LOVING FATHER IS THIS: AND AS MOSES LIFTED THE SERPENT IN THE WILDERNESS, EVEN SO MUST THE SON OF MAN BE LIFTED, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED.) THE “LIFTED” REFERS TO JESUS’S DEATH ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SIN. JESUS LOVES YOU TODAY AND HE DIED TO SET YOU FREE FROM SIN AND DEATH THROUGH HIS SACRIFICIAL BLOOD THAT WAS SPILT ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY.

DON’T DENY THIS TRUTH UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE FOR YOU. AFTER DEATH THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCES. GOD LOVES YOU AND DOESN’T WANT YOU TO SUFFER IN A PLACE CALLED HELL. HE WANTS YOU TO ABIDE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN FOR ETERNITY!
