Missions:
Go and tell (Matthew 20:18), tell everyone about Jesus Christ our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer! It starts at home and extends throughout the world to reach the lost!
Our missions’ support goes far beyond giving financially and is reflected in us in action as a Church, through praying and promoting those in the mission’s field. The power of prayer goes beyond our human comprehension. We read in the book of Matthew 22 “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Ministry Opportunities-
We have many ministries in need, and of leaders and volunteers, including Children and Youth, Senior citizen, welcome center, lawn mowing, ushers, women’s fellowship, men’s fellowship, and more. In serving, we help in many ways. In doing so, it helps us. It helps us grow personally and spiritually as the Holy Spirit teaches and guides us.
Pastor’s Note
Dear friends,
Welcome to May! We look forward tomorrow to a new month of worship as we celebrate and worship God and our Risen Savior! The exact same God that we read about in Genesis Chapter 1 that tells us, “In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth”. We read later about our special place in His creation as we are created in His very image. He created everything and is still very, very involved in everything today.
We read in the Gospel of John how all things were created by God through Jesus Christ, and how the Holy Spirit is revealed to us in the second verse of Genesis. The Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, all in one and one for all, for all of us still today. We see salvation through Jesus, we see God’s presence all around us in Creation and in His Holy Word, we see His great power, we see His great love for us, and we see and feel the Holy Spirit alive in each of us when we accept Jesus as our Savior. Thank you Jesus!
The application tomorrow from the message: Live in Genesis Chapter one and have life, peace, joy, and rest in God’s undeniable power, presence, and love for us, as we go about our daily lives!
Weekly Devotion
From Brother Steve Moye,
Points to Ponder…
Devotion: Good News!
What is it that’s important to you? Well, that’s different for different people. What is the one thing that everyone requires to be truly happy? Peace of Mind, Contentment, Fulfillment, and the most important thing everyone needs is Love. The Christian faith, the Gospel, the Good News, boils down to this one thing. It’s all about Love! Sure, Faith and Hope too, but the greatest is Love. Not the romantic type of love but the true Love or appreciation for God and for one another agape love, brotherly love. Both giving and receiving of love, it’s a two-way street. That is what could cure the world of its problems. The greatest act of love was performed by God giving Jesus Christ His Son for all of us upon the Cross of Calvary. This is the Good News, He died and was buried and rose again to life by the Spirit of God within Him, paying the price through His sacrificial death and shed blood and is sitting at Gods right hand. Taking our sin upon Himself that we could have life, because through our sins we were dead to God bound for eternal separation from God in a devils Hell. But in God’s unimaginable love for us, His creation, His children, in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ became our sacrifice and redeemed us to God and to eternal life for our souls. Oh, what a gift, free to all who believe and accept Jesus and ask Him into our hearts and follow Him for the forgiveness of sins. That is the greatest gift ever given to mankind, Jesus! It is all about Love! There is no other passage so important for everyone to hear than this: (John 3:16-18, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.)
Also, this in (Mark 12:30-31, And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”) And finally, this is in (Corinthians 13:13, And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but he greatest of these is love.)
God Bless You Real Good!
Bro. Steve Moye
